Under the Teacher Next Door program, HUD offers homes located in designated revitalization areas. Revitalization areas are HUD-designated neighborhoods in need of economic and community development and where there is already a strong commitment by the local governments. Revitalization Areas are the basis for HUD programs such as the Good Neighbor Next Door Program and the Direct Sales Program for Nonprofit agencies and Municipalities.

  • A "teacher" is defined as an individual employed full time by a public school, private school, or Federal, State, county, or municipal educational agency as a State-certified classroom teacher or administrator in grades K through 12.
