The Teacher Next Door (TND) Initiative offers HUD-acquired, single family homes to public school teachers with the following significant benefits:
*Schedule a free consultation with our home loan experts. Under the Teacher Next Door program, HUD offers homes located in designated revitalization areas. Revitalization areas are HUD-designated neighborhoods in need of economic and community development and where there is already a strong commitment by the local governments. Revitalization Areas are the basis for HUD programs such as the Good Neighbor Next Door Program and the Direct Sales Program for Nonprofit agencies and Municipalities.
Law enforcement officers, pre-Kindergarten
through 12th grade teachers and firefighters/emergency medical
technicians can contribute to community revitalization while becoming
homeowners through HUD's Good Neighbor Next Door Sales Program. HUD
offers a substantial incentive in the form of a discount of 50% from the
list price of the home. In return you must commit to live in the
property for 36 months as your sole residence.
In order to purchase a Teacher Next Door
Home you should be pre-approved and have a letter of commitment for an
approved loan.
